Membership Statement
CSEM values members. A strong and engaged membership enable us to advocate for excellence in endocrinology and metabolism Research, Education, and Patient Care.
CSEM enables me to stay connected with my endocrine peers across Canada, whether it be through engagement in national committees, interaction at conferences, or getting friendly clinical advice from experts in their fields.
I enjoy being a Resident Member of the Canadian Society of Endocrinology and Metabolism, as it allows me to be part of a vibrant community of endocrinologists. As Resident Members, we gain access to valuable mentorship and training opportunities, including the annual CSEM Resident Day.
I am a CSEM resident member because it gives me access to useful educational sessions and connects me with colleagues and mentors across the country.
As a CSEM Resident member, I can participate to CSEM Residents’ Day, which is always very instructive and interesting! I can also benefit from various travel and presentation grants from the Society.
I am grateful to be a resident physician member of CSEM. Being a member allows me to advance my career and deepen my endocrine knowledge. I love being part of an amazing community of thought leaders in Endocrinology!

Being a member of CSEM has been an invaluable part of my residency journey. The society fosters a community where residents can learn, share, and advocate, and I look forward to contributing by developing more accessible knowledge platforms and peer support groups for people living with diabetes. I would strongly encourage my peers to join CSEM - it is a place where we can grow together as clinicians and as health advocates.
I am a member of the CSEM to stay at the forefront of evidence-based medicine and collaborate with peers dedicated to advancing endocrine health through clinical care, community engagement, and policy advocacy. My passion lies in addressing disparities in endocrine care and advocating for systems-level changes that promote justice, inclusion, and equitable outcomes. Fees
Membership fees* are due annually, on January 15. All members will receive renewal notices and an invoice in December.

Membership Categories
Physician/Researcher - $150 + applicable tax based on residence
Physicians/Researchers are certified endocrinologists holding a certificate in endocrinology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Canada, the Professional Corporation of Physicians of Quebec or another comparable body, or individuals who have an active engagement in clinical or basic research in endocrinology and metabolism or allied sciences. If you are a certified endocrinologist holding a certificate in Endocrinology from the RCPSC, The Professional Corporation of Physicians of Quebec or another comparable body, you are automatically eligible for membership.

Physicians/Researchers – Recent Graduates are first year certified endocrinologists holding a certificate in endocrinology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Canada, the Professional Corporation of Physicians of Quebec or another comparable body, or individuals who have an active engagement in clinical or basic research in endocrinology and metabolism or allied sciences. If you are a certified endocrinologist holding a certificate in Endocrinology from the RCPSC, The Professional Corporation of Physicians of Quebec or another comparable body, you are automatically eligible for membership.
Physician/Researcher - Recent Graduate – complimentary membership

Resident/Research Associates – complimentary membership
Residents or research fellows in a Canadian training program in the field of endocrinology and metabolism.
I enjoy being a Resident Member of the Canadian Society of Endocrinology and Metabolism, as it allows me to be part of a vibrant community of endocrinologists. As Resident Members, we gain access to valuable mentorship and training opportunities, including the annual CSEM Resident Day.
Medical, bachelor or postgraduate students as well as residents in a program other than endocrinology and metabolism who have an interest in research or practice in endocrinology and metabolism. It is free to become a Student of CSEM, however, to maintain membership, you are required to update your status with the CSEM on an annual basis. Students of CSEM are those individuals who have an interest in endocrine or metabolism sciences and who are currently engaged in a formal Canadian medical or research training program such as:
- Medical Student; bachelor or postgraduate students
- Resident in Internal Medicine or Pediatrics;
- Resident in a program other than Endocrinology and Metabolism;
- Undergraduate Student; or
- Graduate Student, who has an interest in endocrine or metabolism sciences.
Students of CSEM – complimentary membership

Corresponding Associates - $150.00 + applicable tax based on residence
Corresponding Associates are qualified physicians or scientists residing outside of Canada. Application requirements for Corresponding Associates include:
- evidence of interest or involvement in the field of endocrinology and metabolism;
- provide resumé with relevant publications from last five years or other documents; and
- indicate the name of two CSEM Members who could be called upon as references if there is need to further document your interest in endocrinology.
An Active Member who has retired from the practice of medicine or from research or engagement in the field of endocrinology and metabolism.
