Windsor, Ontario (Pediatrics)

We are looking to recruit a paediatric endocrinologist to work in Windsor, Ontario. This is a fee-for-service, community position with the opportunity to liaise and work collaboratively with the academic paediatric endocrinology group at Children’s Hospital, London Health Sciences Center. The clinical volume in Windsor and Southwestern Ontario is expanding and we see the need to have specialized endocrinology and diabetes care in Windsor. Teaching, research, and CME opportunities exist in Windsor in collaboration with the Division of Paediatric Endocrinology and the distributed Schulich medical education enterprise in Windsor. Depending on the qualifications and academic goals of the candidate, an adjunct or full clinical appointment with the Schulich School of Medicine, Western University would be considered. University of Toronto (2 positions in Pediatrics)

Effective July 1, 2021 the Division of Endocrinology, Department of Paediatrics, at the Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), an academic health science centre dedicated exclusively to children, affiliated with the University of Toronto is recruiting two full-time Endocrinologists to join the Division of Endocrinology.

The Division of Endocrinology brings together significant interdisciplinary and inter-professional activities within General Endocrinology and Diabetes, along with specialty clinics such as Transgender Medicine, Obesity, Gynecology-Endocrinology, Multi-Disciplinary Urogenital, Late Effects Endocrine Oncology, Calcium and Bone Health. The Division of Endocrinology at The Hospital for Sick Children promotes these activities through seamless integration of research activities, academic performance and exemplary clinical care. SickKids is an academic health sciences centre dedicated exclusively to health outcomes in paediatric children provincially, internationally and is affiliated with the University of Toronto.

Clinical duties will includes clinics in General Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Calcium and Bone Health in addition to weeks on service/on call. Other duties will include active participation in academic rounds and teaching. Scholarly activity is an expectation of all faculty, with time dedicated to these activities dependent on background and job profile. Depending on the interests and goals of the candidate, there are substantial opportunities within our post graduate medical education training program.

The successful candidate must be eligible for an academic appointment at the University of Toronto. Rank and salary ($230,000 – $260,000) per annum will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The successful candidate will be eligible for a benefit package which includes medical, dental, life insurance, long term disability insurance, group insurance, pension plan, vision care, academic allowance and a relocation package.

All candidates must be able to function proficiently in English, hold an MD, MBBS or the equivalent thereto and be certified or eligible for certification in Endocrinology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or have comparable qualifications. Candidates must hold or be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.

Eastern Health

Eastern Health (Newfoundland & Labrador) invites expressions of interest for a full-time Endocrinologist within the Medicine Program of Eastern Health. Eastern Health is the largest integrated health organization in Newfoundland and Labrador (NL). It employs over 13,000 employees, provides services to a regional population of more than 300,000 and is responsible for provincial tertiary health services. The Endocrinology Division of Eastern Health is a collegial atmosphere, and clinical space along with administration support will be provided. The oncall rotas are shared among the division members. Endocrinologists participate in internal medicine Clinical teaching unit (CTU) coverage. The patient population in Newfoundland and Labrador includes the full breadth of endocrine disorders, including genetic endocrine disorders of which we have several large kindreds. McGill University: Assistant Professor (Research)

The Department of Medicine of McGill University, Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism invites applications for a full time position as a research scientist at the rank of Assistant Professor. This is a position within the Contract Academic Staff and does not confer eligibility for tenure. The candidate will be expected to develop and lead an independent research program in the area of Diabetes and Metabolism. A focus of investigation of the chronic complications of diabetes will be preferred. This is a position in laboratory-based research with a start-up package and space allocation in the MeDiC (Metabolic Disorders and Complications) Program of the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC), a new state-of-the-art research building. The Department of Medicine of McGill University, Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism invites applications for a full time position as Clinician-Scientist (devoting a minimum of 50% of time to research) at the Assistant Professor level. The candidate will have the expertise and experience in endocrinology/metabolism research to establish and/or continue an internationally recognized independent research program. Preference will be given to research in the areas of diabetes/metabolism and neuroendocrinology. Either basic or translational/epidemiology research is eligible.
