Eastern Health invites applications for 2 Endocrinologist positions within the Medicine Program of Eastern Health. Based in St. John’s, Newfoundland, these are salaried positions which are accountable for the provision of comprehensive health care services to patients receiving care from the Program. Services include Endocrinology and Internal Medicine Coverage.
The patient population in Newfoundland and Labrador includes the full breadth of endocrine disorders, including genetic endocrine disorders, of which we have several large kindreds. The Endocrinologists will join an enriched teaching environment that is affiliated with Memorial University’s Medical School, and participation in teaching of students and house staff is expected.
The Endocrinology Division of Eastern Health is a collegial atmosphere for the practice of endocrine care, and clinical space and administration support will be provided. The on-call rotas are also shared equitably among the division members. All candidates must be eligible for licensure by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador. Remuneration will be in accordance with the Memorandum of Agreement for salaried physicians in Newfoundland and Labrador.

The Department of Internal Medicine, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Manitoba, and the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority Medicine Program invite applications for the position of Head of the Section of Endocrinology, one of 17 sections in the Department of Internal Medicine providing patient care, undergraduate, postgraduate and continuing education and research. The individual will also be the medical leader for the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority for Endocrinology.
This is a major academic position with substantial resources within the region, primarily at two academic health centres and one community-based hospital. There are presently 8 full-time and 5 part time academic physicians within the section with major clinical and academic responsibilities. In addition, there are 2 PhD scientists with major lab-based research activities. Extensive resources are in place within the Department of Internal Medicine to support the position.
The successful applicant will be an academic endocrinologist with proven leadership abilities, a record of continuing achievement in endocrinology research, and a demonstrated capacity to collaborate with related disciplines. He/she will built on to, coordinate, and enhance our academic and clinical program in endocrinology and metabolism, and will also further the aims of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in endocrinology and metabolism through his/her superior clinical and teaching skills.
This is a geographical, full-time, contingent position commencing May 1, 2018 or as soon thereafter as possible, for a term of five years, renewable upon favourable review. Salary and rank will be dependent upon qualifications and experience. Candidates must have senior specialty qualifications in Endocrinology in the country of current practice and must be eligible for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba. Certification in Endocrinology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada is preferred.

LMC Endocrinology & Diabetes is currently seeking full-time Endocrinologists for 2018 practice launches, interested in joining our rapidly expanding health care network in the following Canadian cities: Barrie and Etobicoke, part of the greater Toronto area, Calgary & Montreal. University of Western Ontario (Pediatrics)
The Department of Paediatrics, Children's Hospital, London Health Sciences Centre and Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University, is seeking a Paediatric Endocrinologist to join our established Division of Paediatric Endocrinology. The Division of Paediatric Endocrinology provides a comprehensive ambulatory and in-patient service to a population of about 1.5 million in southwestern Ontario. Children with the full spectrum of endocrine conditions, including Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, disorders of growth, puberty, thyroid, adrenal, pituitary function, calcium metabolism, disorders of sexual development, and gender dysphoria are cared for in a range of specialty clinics. Our division works closely with an endocrinology nurse and a full inter-professional Diabetes Education Team. The Division of Paediatric Endocrinology works closely with our Adult Endocrinology Division at St. Joseph’s Health Center to ensure a seamless transition of care for our young adult patients. The Division of Pediatric Endocrinology in Saskatchewan is happy to announce that we are seeking applications for a third, full-time pediatric endocrinologists in Saskatoon.
Trillium Health Partners (THP) is the largest community-based academic health network in Ontario, serving over one million residents in the communities of Mississauga, Peel Region and West Toronto. The hospital encompasses three main sites — Credit Valley Hospital (CVH), Mississauga Hospital (MH), and Queensway Health Centre (QHC) – offering a full range of acute care hospital services, as well as a variety of community-based specialized programs including the Peel Regional Cancer Centre. The Division of Endocrinology is comprised of a dedicated group of Endocrinologists working at two sites (Credit Valley Hospital and Mississauga Hospital). The Division provides a full spectrum of Endocrinology consultation and related services, with care for Diabetic patients making up the largest component.
We currently have a position available for a full-time endocrinologist to join our team at the Credit Valley Hospital site. Services provided by the Division of Endocrinology at the Credit Valley Hospital include providing MRP coverage for patients admitted to Endocrinology; providing consultant coverage for the weekly gestational diabetes clinic in the Diabetes Care Centre; providing consultant coverage for high-risk pregnant patients with diabetes; providing I-131 radiation treatments for patients with thyroid disease; and participating in unplanned care within the Medicine program, which may include Internal Medicine coverage in the Emergency Department (i.e. on-call), most responsible physician (MRP) responsibilities for Endocrinology and/or general medicine in-patients, and provision of emergent/urgent Endocrinology consultations.
