The CSEM Has Moved
As of April 1, 2018, the CSEM management office has moved:
Canadian Society of Endocrinology and Metabolism
192 Bank Street
Ottawa, ON K2P 1W8 Canada
From the CSEM President
New Executive Director and Office for CSEM
The Canadian Society of Endocrinology and Metabolism is embarking on a new adventure. As your professional organization we want to increase value for you, our members. We’ve hired an executive director to help us focus on our priorities: commitment to education, and support of research, innovation and recognition of excellence in endocrinology and metabolism. And we are partnering with the Association of Medical Microbiology and Infectious Disease Canada (AMMI Canada) to maximize efficiencies through shared space and services.
Please join me in welcoming Inika Anderson to the CSEM family as our new executive director. Inika brings with her a wealth of experience gained from more than 20 years’ experience working in non-profit. She was most recently with the Canadian Bar Association managing 6 national sections, developing practice tools and coordinating programs for lawyers, the judiciary and government. Previously, Inika was the Manager of Continuing Professional Development at the Canadian Ophthalmological Society where she oversaw their application for accreditation with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons. She is experienced with all aspects CPD program development and working with physicians and industry.
We would not be able to make this move forward, however, without the support of the CSEM Secretariat at Canadian Cardiovascular Society for the past 5 years. We are particularly grateful to Linda Palmer, Association Manager; Robin Kinch, CPD Manager; and Bettina Franko, Coordinator, who have worked tirelessly to support CSEM – thank you.
This new chapter will allow us to increase value for members by expanding our CPD activities and ensure their alignment with the new Royal College standards. CSEM will focus on our mandate to advance the discipline of endocrinology and metabolism in Canada and advocate for excellence in endocrinology research, education, and patient care.
It is through a strong and engaged membership base that CSEM can effectively advance our agenda.
Thank you for supporting our Society.
